Principal's Message
On behalf of Assistant Principal Bridget Travis, the teachers and staff, and I, welcome you to the 2024/2025 school year. The Stork Elementary team is excited about starting this year with new staff, new students, and a new vision. This year’s theme is “Great Habits Make Great Leaders”, which brings this all together!
Mrs. Travis and I are very familiar with the community and school district, as we are both long-term residents in the area. Our children are students within the district, so we have the experience of both parent and educator when it comes to our school district.
My style as a principal is to be out of the office and “on the ground” with the students, teachers, and staff. I feel this is the best way to monitor the tempo of campus, progress, and quality of your child’s education. I take it as a personal responsibility that you have entrusted your child’s early education to me.
As a wife of a retired police officer, I am very cognizant of issues that occur throughout our nation when it comes to student, staff, and parent safety and security. I take these issues seriously and am always open to your suggestions, concerns, and questions.
This school year is going to be a fabulous year as we guide our students to aim high, strive to be our best, and learn great habits of leaders at Stork!
Go Superstars!
